HQ Deployment

I have some questions regarding HQ deployment. I have installed the HQ server / Administrator and Database on one machine successfuly but now I need to have additional HQ managers installed on other machines. Now the HQ installation package installs both HQ server and HQ manager. Wouldn't there be a conflict if more than one HQ server is running?

Another question regards the HQ Server program itself. The suggested way for it to run automatically is to add it in the Startup folder. But what if no user is logged in Windows? Is there a neat way to convert it into a service?

several running HQ server won't make any conflict, they might even be used for load balancing if u have many stores, so just forget about them, configure only one instance to point to your hq server and leave the other insances without configuring them even without running them.

2- yes, there's a way to run HQServer as a service, i already asked this question b4 in this newsgroup and i got the answer from it as well but u must have access to partner source to access this article
