We are currently using item messages for age restriction message on alcohol and tobacco items. When an item is rung, the item message shows and prompts the cashier to acknowlege before continuing. If a second identical item is rung, the item message is not shown. BUT, if a different item is rung, the item message shows again. When item message is used for age audit, it should not repeat within the same sale. Ideally, we would have the option to trigger messages only once per sale. Does anyone have a workaround for this?
