Merchant accounts and POS pin pads

RMS 1.2 has built-in credit card processing through Vital. Ask your Bank / Merchant to set-up account with Vital as processor.

Pin pads for debit cards- use Verifone 1000SE debit pin pads with serial computer connection cable

Excellent, well that is good to know. I knew it had some functionality. So when you have looked up all of the items and hit Tender to check out a customer (at POS), the credit card will be processed through the merchant account? Through entering all of that data you shouldnt have to actually use a credit card reader? We actually may not be taking ATM to start so that may help out.

One last question, where in RMS do I configure my merchant ID and provider information for procssing credit cards?

In RMS Store Ops Admin > File > Configuration > EDC

yeah, but how much do they charge? is it a lot more than Authorize.net or others?
