Report Printing Issue - First Page Often Blank

This is a recent thing, which makes it all the more puzzling...

When my bookkeepers print a report that's more than a few pages long they often get a blank first page. Sometimes the report header prints without data, other times the first page out of the printer is completely blank.

The rest of the report prints as expected.

Sometimes (not always) you can try again and get the first page to print by selecting a page range of 1 to 1. Other times you simply cannot get page 1 to print at all.

Any ideas?

I don't know if this is your problem or not, but on a few occasions I have seen a report page print in some crazy paper size that ends up compressing the entire page into about a 1 x 1 inch area of the page. It looks like the report printed only the store logo at first glance, but it is really the whole report. You can fix this issue by opening the printer properties and selecting a valid paper size.

That is exactly what we're getting. The entire report is condensed into a postage stamp-sized area in the upper left-hand corner of the page.

I have seen this in Excel, too, but it's been quite a while.

The inconsistency of it is maddening.

Thanks for the advice.

we had same problem. So we did setting up printer. Modify Priter server's priter size and paper size. And Modify Store management's Computer.

I have found that maximizing the preview window (or dragging to enlarge it) and reprinting will solve the problem. I don't know why the size of the preview window would have anything to do with it, but it does!
