RMS POS drops receipts during HQ uploads...

just wondering if anyone has had this issue...

when we first installed RMS, we had several stores dropping receipts, the deparment sales would be correct, but there would be no image of the receipt on the journal...

when we ran an X report, the difference between Department Sales and the Net Sales minus Sales tax would be the exact amount of the missing receipt...

we contacted microsoft and applied all of their configuration suggestions (including disabling shared memory in sql and ordering the protocols in the rms client utility so that named pipes was first, they sent us a whole list of configuration recommendations and we did them all)...

they worked great, except for one machine at one store... it drops them regularly when... and only when... the HQ client is running an upload (401), they always occur during the upload... we turn the client off, no dropped receipts...

the store database is on the #1 register, HQ client runs on a desktop in a back office with 2 gig of ram, and it is configured exactly like every other machine we have (ver 114)...

it's driving us nuts...

the only thing that seems odd was that the vendor who set it up, for some reason, had to re-export the database and he changed the id... (from 14 to

114), no clue why...

since then we have set up 6 other stores one time, i messed up the protocol order at one store and it dropped a receipt, fixed it, problem solved...

this machine has been reimaged, replaced, all peripherals switched, new cables, changed routers, but still... if we're doing an upload... we will loose a receipt...

Have you tried running the HQ Client on the register machine where the database is?

Can you post the list of c> just wondering if anyone has had this issue...
