Adding Logo to Customized Invoice - QB5 Pro

Jun 14, 2005 2 Replies

I have a logo file - .JPG about 27K. I'd like to add it to our customized invoice. Here are a few questions:

Should I first convert the file to a .TIF to avoid possible subsequent shrinkage? Does the file get embedded in the template. or just linked to it?

And in general, what's the procedure in the Layout designer for adding it?

You need to save it as a .bmp file. When you decide to put it into your invoice layout, you can resize it to what you want.

The last template I used a .JPG and it worked fine. Not a graphics person, so am not aware of shrinkage problems. It appears the image gets saved in an image folder underneath the folder that the data file is saved in, so it is not necessarily imbedded, but it is copied and linked. With QB2005, while in layout designer you just click on the add button and choose image.

With previous versions, BMP were the only format supported. You should be fine.
