Labels in Quickbooks

I did not notice how limited the label feature in Quickbooks Premier

2005 is before I recommended its purchase. That goes for a few features, but this more than the rest.

I have these standard and custom columns (in a sales order FORM):

ITEM DESCRIPTION LBS. IN RATE LBS. OUT AMOUNT

I need to print labels with all of this information (plus customer details like NAME and ADDRESS).

It looks like Quickbooks is useless for line item labels like these, so I'm hoping for potential solutions.

If I can't find some way to do this, the project is canned. Please help. Thanks.

QB gives you the option to print mailing labels. Mailing labels may be printed for any of the names (customer, vendor, employee, sales rep, other names).

It sounds like you are trying to print out specifics for your sales orders onto your mailing labels. QB does not do this. This is not an example of "how limited the label feature in Quickbooks". What you require is *NOT* a mailing label, but a shipping label which includes a list of the items to be shipped, quantities and costs. You will have to export the sales order data and manipulate it outside of QB. There *may* be 3rd party add-ons available. See

Yes, a shipping label. Anyone else know of such a product?

You put the contents of the box ON the label?

Do you have room for a text field saying: "STEAL ME?"

We have a rubber stamp that says "Dried Fish" to use when we ship expensive electronic components.

Hi, Our product called OZEXE professional

that gives you access to the SDK without you having to know how to implement the SDK. It is a free download. To get the QuickBooks Interface send an e-mail to snipped-for-privacy@ozdevelopment.com requesting it.

If you can get away with ODBC access to QuickBooks the OZEXE Lite version will work as well.

There is built in support for printing to Windows Printers as well as serial/parallel ports. Any questions just ask.

exporting to excel then to word to do your mailing labels if you are that desperate that the project is a goner. but this would be time consuming unless it is just a few projects.

Shameless self promotion.

Self promotion maybe, shameless no, What's wrong with talking about a solution that involves our product? It's not as if I am lying about the capabilities of OZEXE as others have used it for the same type of thing usually in conjunction with UPS Worldship.
