Even QODBC connects to the QB data file via the QB SDK, which must connect to an instance of QuickBooks running "somewhere" -- right?

As for a "simple" solution: setting up a secure way of allowing multiple customers to view only their invoices over the web is not a simple project. Unless someone else has already built it and will sell it to you...

QB runs on a closed version of SQL for a very $$ reason. If it ran on a open version, someone would create an application to update the payroll deduction table, thus denying QB a revenue stream.
