I have been using Quicken since DOS version 3?, and I have upgraded about every other year until 2003 DLX.
I stopped using Quicken at the end of 2004 because I was getting tired of keeping track of all my bank/credit cards/investments/etc... just way too much time involved.
Well, now I realize I should of at least kept a very simple record of taxable stuff!
I still have my Quicken 2003 Deluxe, and do not need/want any investment tracking. But, even though I did a new custom install, Q2003D uses over 64 MB of disk space (without any data files)!!
I still want the QIF import feature, and I'm think about "downgrading" to Quicken Basic 2004.
Is Q2004 better than Q2003? (Just comparing non-investment stuff, and I do not need/want any on-line download stuff.)
Any thoughts/problems/suggestions with my idea?
Thanks, Mike
