Billmind

May 20, 2006 6 Replies

I have QDelux 2006. Billmind worked find until the other day I removed and reinstalled Quicken. Now every time I config billmind to run on startup Billmind unchecks it. I removed QW.exe and then let it rebuild with the same results. Has anyone encounted this before?

When you reinstalled Quicken, did you install it in a different folder than its previous installation? Did you reinstall Quicken as a different Windows user than your previous install?

Have you looked in msconfig to see what the fully qualified name of the billminder executable is that Windows is trying to run at startup?

Thanks for the reply John,

When I reinstalled the only location I did change was the location for backups.

I'm the only user on this computer.

In msconfig there isn't any reference to billmind cause within billmind options the check box to run on starting computer will

not stay checked and the file QW.RMD isn't being produced.

I've reinstalled quicken again with same results.

Thanks Jeff

QW.RMD is produced by Quicken, not Billminder, and Quicken creates (or updates) QW.RMD every time it runs.

See if this helps.

I did notice quicken installs billmind at two different locations. I'm giving up trying to automate billmind as I would think you buy a product not slamming intuit as MS money is the same then it's up to the consumer to be the test site for there fixes... Now I feel better.. thanks Jeff

John, your link did work took two reboots to do so. thanks, Jeff
