Downloaded transactions split screen disappeared

I am using Quicken Home 2003. I have been unable to display the transactions that I download from my bank. The register shows a split screen with the register on top and the lower half of window below totally blank - this is where the downloaded transactions normally would appear for me to accept.

I've been doing this for years without problem. Internet connection fine. I see the little movie of data being downloaded. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I am at the point of reinstalling to see if that cures the problem.

Did you try deleting your temporary internet files?

Yes I delete them on a regular basis since it is required in order to just download from the bank. Other suggestions?

Just a wild guess but are the transactions showing up in the register and somehow they are being automatically accepted?

No, I wish they were. Well I've uninstalled and reinstalled (after backing up my harddrive) and voila! the screen came back! No idea why. Maybe my antispyware programs thought it was (and maybe it is) spyware???

Never heard of that one before.

The underlying problem I was thinking of only related to having too many temporary internet files; not having *any* temporary internet files.
