My membership has expired???

I have been using Quicken 2018 Starter Edition for some time and now I get an error message that my "Membership" has expired and won't allow me to enter anything into the check register unless I renew my membership. It says that renewing will let me continue downloading info from my bank, connect to online billers, etc. It does not give any option to continue without adding that stuff. HELP PLEASE!!! There must be a workaround for this.

Thanks in advance... Bob

The work around is to renew your subscription. To avoid being blocked out in the future, purchase a Deluxe edition subscription. Quicken Delux is only $40 for 14-months on Amazon:

I'm going to be in the same boat soon. I've used Quicken since before Windows. I only use it as a check register and to pay bills through the bill payment service. I was always annoyed that I had to upgrade every 2 years to continue the online bill payment service. I don't use all of the features of quicken. I don't need an update to my check register. Last year I switched to the subscription model when it was time to upgrade in order to continue with bill payments. Now that Quicken has changed the Bill Pay service it is of no value to me in the current form. I've found other services through my bank that will work. So I don't need an update for my check register. I could easily go back to one of my old versions that I have on DVD except the file format has probably changed. If I can't continue to utilize the check register after my subscription expires next month I'll just load one of my old versions. I'm tire of being required to upgrade for features I don't need.

Well, I get pissed by having to pay taxes for all sorts of shit that I don't want and will never use. That's the package.  So, your choice is to SUCK IT UP...or FUCK OFF.

If you get a higher level version, once it expires you can still use it locally. But I think Q grabs a big chunk of your screen to pester you to renew. But it is workable, it would seem.
