Note another upgrade! Rebates?

I can't believe it. Quicken wants yet more money out of me! My 2003 works just fine. I don't use the features that it has. I'm about ready to call it quits.

I was wondering what kind of rebates there are for present customers who want to go to Quicken Basic. Staples has it for $29.99. But the Quicken website says the $20 rebate is not good for Basic. :(

You need to complain to Intuit, not this group of users.

Intuit has released a new version of Quicken every year since I can remember (at least back to the 1980s). Why start complaining now?

First of all, the policy of "sunsetting" support for versions 3 years or older is common knowledge. Intuit has made no secret about it.

Second, it doesn't mean that Q03 will stop working, it just means that some on-line features will stop working. If you don't use them, then go to sleep and forget about it. Otherwise fork over the money and get on with your life.

I'm befuddled sometimes about the vehemence that some folks have about having to spend $30 every 3 or 4 years..... You probably piss away more than that every week..........................

BTW, it's just as bad (and possibly worse) if you use Money...

Try Ebay! Q2006 can be had for under $20.
