Online Backup Problem

Anyone else having this problem ...

I'm trying to use Quicken Online Backup from within Q07 H&B. I select "I am already an online backup customer" and get the Account Login screen.

But -- the Account ID field only allows the entry of 9 digits but Quicken Online Backup ID's are 10 digits long.

I've tried the Quicken forums, database and online chat without success.

Am I missing something here or are others having this problem or ??

Me too. I think I discovered the problem. Quicken has decided to take the backup gig into their own hands:

This looks different than the other Quicken-branded online backup that is powered by Connected. Starts at 100MB for $9.99 -- I'm thinking of switching. Anyway, if I want the backup to be fully integrated with Quicken I guess I'll have to switch. As we already know, the old 10 digit Connected ID isn't recognized by Quicken 2007.

FYI -- the Connected web site says that if you cancel your account "you are eligible for a pro-rated refund based on any whole months remaining in your subscription period"

I noticed this as well. The prices are much cheaper with the new service. With the Connected- Iron Mountain service I was paying $79.95/ year for 100MB. With this new service $49.95 per year for 1 GB. I'm changing! Of course the proof is in the pudding...... Craig

The best deal I've seen for online storage is Amazon S3. I use it for Quicken data as well as tons of other stuff. 15 cents/gig/month for storage and 20 cents/gig/month for transfer. Largest bill I've had yet was 55 cents. I'm very happy with it.

Even better is Mozy -- free for 2GB. Seems to work pretty well. Heard about it from Kim Komando newsletter.

Nice. Just tried it and like it a lot. Mozy uses Amazon S3 I think. Free is hard to beat.

Well, if ya talking free, there's

25 GBs under the free plan.
