Problems with Discover??

Anyone else having problems with Discover Bank? Last successful D/L was

5/17. Since then all I got was 301 error on one account and 304 on the rest. So I tried deactivating and reactivating all accounts and now when it tries to connect to activate OSU I just get an error that says unable to connect in order to activate OSU.

Tried downloads from within the web browers. One account (savings, imported ok). All the rest...CDs...nothing happens at all in Quicken when I click to import the download file.

The Bank says there was a problem but now it is fixed and it is QUicken that is the issue.

Any ideas? TIA.

I haven't noticed any errors on my end, but I don't have many transactions for Discover.

Is your FI selection "Discover Card" or "Discover Card Account Services"?

No, this is Discover Bank (CD and a savings account). No issues with Discover Card.

I even started a new Quicken file entirely and tried to add my Discover Bank accounts as new accounts. I get the same problem as in the long existing account: It finds my savings account and recognizes it (name starts "DP SAVINGS", but the 5 CDS I have, who start with "DP CD" its says are unknown types and the only choice it offers is to ignore them.

Discover BANK, is listed, in FIDIR.TXT, as being a web connect bank. SO, try downloading a file from them, SAVING it to your desktop, and then doing a FILE -> FILE IMPORT -> WEB CONNECT FILE. You'll probably have to do this for each individual account.

It's also possible, that Discover Bank doesn't provide download for CD's. I don't know if that's true ... but it's conceivable. db

I HAVE been trying an import>web connect. After I click on the downloaded file name, in a few seconds up comes the OSU summary page showing that nothing new has been downloaded (but no error messages) and no new transactions are in the account.

Has this been working for you, DB (or anyone) in the last couple weeks? Either downloads or OSU?

O, try downloading a file from them, SAVING it to your desktop, and then do ing a FILE -> FILE IMPORT -> WEB CONNECT FILE. You'll probably have to do this for each individual account.

s. I don't know if that's true ... but it's conceivable.

I use neither Discover Bank, nor Discover Card ... so my experience won't h elp. db

Some progress but not much. Going back into the add accounts dialog, when I type DIscover there are duplicate listing for Discover Bank (as well as Discover Financial Services). When I used the 2nd DIscover Bank listed it DID connect and did manage to set up 4 of 5 CD accounts (the

5th CD it still did not recognize). However it only downloaded 1 day worth of data and all these new accounts show a balance of zero and the import still does not work.

After a futile hour and a half with Quicken Chat, I found myself locked out of my Discover Bank web access. In contacting them to fix that the technician did conform that downloads are not presently working for CDs and it is a connectivity issue between Quicken and Discover.

Again...just surprised there's not more traffic on this,

Must be nobody on this newsgroup with Quicken CDs that has tried downloading recently.
