Q2006 - Minireport Problem

Oct 01, 2005 6 Replies

I seem to have a problem with the Payee Minireport procedure in Quicken v2006. When I select some payees, the select the Minireport it shows the past payments to that payee in my database. But when I cleck, "Show Report", the report shows fewer payments then the Minireport show. Anyone else experience this problem and have a workaround. I hold about 2 years worth of transactions in my database and have minireport set to show past 3 years.

Thanks for any insights. Charlie

Ok, I think I found the problem(s). First the Payee name is case sensitive (did not know that). Second, even with the minireport set to 3 years, that setting does not carry through to the "Show Report" process. That process defaults to 12 months - so you have to change it to 3 years there also to see all the transactions.

How long a time elapse between you detecting a "problem" and posting here? Do you then go back and do the little bit of investigation that is necessary to figure out that the reports have a customizable but different date range?

Why do you use yore bandwidth for better things then this type of reply? Don't you have better things to do or is this the best you have???

I'm genuinely curious. And the question of "why post" and "use of time" I can ask of you too.

Mike

I posted because I had a question and not the solution. After posting I found something that helped resolve my issue. I reposted to provide the additional information to others who might encounter the same situation, thus saving them a bit of time - nothing more, nothing less!

Charlie,

I for one thank for you for taking the time to post. :)
