q2017 upgrade from q2015 fails on One step updates

I just upgraded to q2017 after being cut off from updating in q2015, but I'm still getting error 301A on One Step update on all acconts, bank and brokerage. What's the problem?

Once the Online Services have been discontinued, they can be a bit tricky to reset.

One approach is to use a clean unistall, install and update and a datafile backup saved prior to 4/30/2018. If you haven?t already, you may want to review:

To update Quicken, I recommend that you download and apply the Mondo Patch:

Another approach is to deactivate the Online Services of all of the accounts. Any online activated loans will need to be converted to manual loans to deactivate the Express Web Connect connection method. If the Express Web Connect connection method has been used for any accounts, it may also be necesary to reset the state preserved in the server (Online Center, Ctrl + Shift + Update/Send...) and to reset the Quicken ID associated with the datafile (Edit > Preferences..., Quicken ID, Mobile & Alerts, Sign in as a different User). When you subsequently setup the Online Services, be careful to link the accounts found at the finacial institution to the appropriate existing accounts in Quicken.

Thanks. I was hoping it wouldn?t be so cumbersome ( to me). What? ??s the likelihood it will work if I just deactivate all accounts and r esestablish them?

Side issue here: been a long time since I last posted. I think I?m supposed to put original post in quotes above reply, but I?ve forgo tten how. Can?t it becset to default to that mode?

I suggest you try it and find out.

Regardng quoting the original post when you reply, defaults and settings are client specific.

The normal way to do that is to precede each quoted line with a >, as you see above.

Almost all newsreaders do this automatically.

It's working. I only had to deactivate Online Services for each account an d set them up again. Took some time, what with password problems on my end , but it really was much simpler than I expected. Thanks.
