Quicken Confused about Online Status

For some unknown reason, online downloads are shown as not available for my Chase MC (Web Connect). The Chase MC Account Details/Online Services tab shows "Transaction download is not available" and the "Download Now" (something like this) is not available in the Register. Clicking Download Transactions at the bottom of the Register does nothing. Yet Online/Online Center has the Chase MC listed. For some reason, Quicken seems to be confused about the online status of this account on this one machine. I'm using Quicken 2004 Dlx (R5) on three systems. The other two systems work fine. How do I straighten this account out?

Thanks, Tim

I've heard that if you disable and then re-enable the online access, it should fix the problem.

Okay. How do I disable the account? On the Account Details/Online Services tab, the "deactivate" button doesn't appear since Quicken is confused. (The button is present on the two working machines.)

(I submitted this question yesterday but don't see it posted.)

Okay, how do I disable online services for this account? The "Deactivate" button isn't available on the Edit Account/Online Services tab.

There may be other ways to do this that are slightly less drastic, but you can move the .QEL file and then start Quicken (backup your files first). That file seems to hold all of the online banking information (I'm not sure about online payees). You will need to reenable all of your accounts with online access (and maybe the online payees). I have done this before when I got stuck and could not disable online access and I could not accept any transactions. If you don't get anywhere you can always restore the backup. Also, account downloads will likely contain many old and redundant transactions and the whole thing is very tedious because Quicken things you have never done it before. So, use this only as a last resort.
