Stock Splits May be Missing

Quicken2008 Deluxe

For about the last week each time I have updated my investment accounts I have received a message that Stock Splits May be Missing. The first time there were two entries for two different splits of the same security, but the last few times there has been only one entry, which indicates that the stock was split on 12/15/08. The security is one that we bought and sold in 2004.

I have validated the file but that has not helped.

Any suggestions on how I can get rid of this message?

Thanks.

Determine if there really is a split missing (Yahoo, or similar) and enter it in Quicken?

Or perhaps stop downloading prices for that security, if you no longer own it?

Your choice.

Yes. In the One Step Download dialog, you should see (when you first initiate an OSU) the "Select Quotes" option. Click that and remove the check mark from any security whose price you don't want to download.

Remove the ticker symbol.

Go to the security list and cur the symbol from its normal place and paste it into "notes" for reference.

I checked online at Fidelity and there was a split last December. I do not understand why it took Quicken update so long for it to come up. Since I sold the stock over five years ago and the name appears to have changed (same symbol) and I cannot find any information about when that happened, and it is only listed on the pink sheets, I do not think I will enter it.

I have hidden the security, which stops updates on it. Is there any other way to stop downloading prices for a specific security?

Thanks for your advice.
