"zWells Fargo... "

That sounds familiar. Isn't that what wachovia did after they merged with CoreStates? My wachovia is zWachovia.

While doing an OSU, my Financial Institution now shows my Wells Fargo accounts as "zWells Fargo Banking & Bill Pay."

Anyone else?

Notan Don't know if this is relevant but WF now charges $3 month for direct download. This caused me some problems (Q kept saying my account was suspended) until I figured out what was going on.

I thought it might be some sort of glitch, so I gave Wells Fargo a call. While the person I spoke to couldn't tell me why the change was made, he did assure me that it was intentional.

You're right. It was First Union. They've changed hands so many times I forgot about them. (Hamilton, CoreStates, First Union, Wachovia, Wells Fargo...if I'm not forgetting anyone).

Good. I don't think it really makes any difference, just that it's a little confusing.

Well, it makes a big difference in that the "z" was necessary for their system to function correctly, but it really doesn't change things all that much. :)
