We are New to RMS. We purchased APG Cash Drawers with USB connection. We are not using receipt printers, all printing will be done on a full page printer.
The Setup and configuration was no problem as the administrator.
If I log on to the computer as a user that is not part of the administrator group, the cash drawer will not work.
Does anyone know how to setup the cash drawer without administrator priviledges?

Haven't tried it, but try Start | Run | type regedit | File | Export and save a copy in case of problems. Now go to this registry key and change the permissions by right clicking on it and changing for the user.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OLEforRetail\ServiceOPOS\CashDrawer

You say you got your USB Drawer to work from RMS. We,too, are setting up a system that does not require a Receipt Printer and, hence, we are using a USB Drawer, unfortuately we cannot seem to get it working and it hasn't got anything to do with user rights. What steps did you take to get your drawer working?
