Cash Drawer cable for star TSP100

Hi

I am using STAR TSP100 and testing with a cash drawer that doesnt have a the cable (my cousin who is the original owner lost it)

Does anyone know what cable should I get so i can get the cash drawer working

I tried using phone cable with 2 or 4 connector but both failed to make the drawer open. Drawer is not in locked position. brandname Eutron

You will probably need to get the cable from Star or the cash drawer manufacturer. That's where I would start looking. Craig

Eutron is a basically a no-name Chinese produced POS equipment manufacturing company. As such, there isn't a lot of compatability documentation. I wasn't able to find if Eutron emulated APG, MMF, or MSCashdrawer, etc... You could try the standard cables from Star to all of the cash drawers that they have but that would get expensive both in money and time. You may be better off just buying a new cash drawer with a cable compatable for a star tsp100 for $100 off the internet. Geminicomputers.com is very reasonable.

go to ebay and buy the cable, is easy . you can make it if by yourself, but its cheaper if you order it.

Dan, That would work if she knew what cable she needs. Since she doesn't know that her best bet would be to contact Star and see what they say. Star Micronics, America, Inc.

It's a croc that the manufacturers sell that cable for $25 when you can make it for $2. Take standard Cat5 cable and cut two wires off and use the other

Matt, That's great if you know what you're doing, but if Joie's like me, all the instructions you gave are like trying to read greek. Not everyone is able to make their own cables. I'm fairly good with computers. I manage my own database, network, accounting integration, etc., but trying to make that cable myself would be out of the question. If I was Joie, $25 to get it working would be great. Craig
