Is it possible to convert a work order to a Sales Order before closing it?
Currently when I'm picking up items on work orders it's remaining as a work order for printing purposes, i.e. the receipt is printing as a work order receipt instead of a sales receipt. that would be fine, except I want to print work orders to my regular printer (8.5 x 11) and my sales receipts to my receipt printer.
Any ideas?
I don't believe RMS will allow you to convert it back over to a "sale". When we try we get an error message. It would be a nice feature and if it exists, I don't know where it is.
Is it best then to just delete the work order once the items are in and then re-do the sale when the customer picks items up?
We simply sale the "work order" by hitting F12, pickup entire work order. You can also sell a "partial work order" using that screen. For us it prints on a reg printer rather than the 40 column printer. If you don't mind the larger sales receipt then everything is kosher.
