Debit Setup on MS-POS

I have heard that Verifone 1000se is the only one to work with RMS or POS. Instead of this PIN pad, can I have a multi functional device, Card reader & Pin pad? I do not know what it is called. But what I know is that most of big stores, safeway, target, costco etc, use the device so that customers do not have to give their card to cashier. Should I taped a card reader and 1000se pin pad to make it a multi-function device?

supported on release will be the Ingenico i6550. The manufacturers and/or resellers will be testing more I'm sure.

This sounds great - will it do signature capture as well? And will I have to buy it through my CC company for it to be configured properly, as I did the verifone unit? I would love to get rid of all these signed thermal receipts and store everything electronically!

I see it, but just because it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, if it's MS it could still be a tuna - ;-)
