Technical error

AMEX and Discover are not being sent over to the credit card processor during settlement. I comes up with a "TECHNICAL ERROR". Visa and MC are settling fine. Does anyone know what the problem is?? All are setup as different tranaction types in RMS and ALL authorize fine during the transaction process.

Your merchant account is not correctly configured for AMEX & Discover. This is on the bank's side, not RMS.

I've called the credit card processor and they say it's setup correctly. The processor said if it wasn't setup correctly it would not authorize during a transaction. What should I do?? Thanks for the post. :-)

They are mistaken about not authorizing if the account isn't correctly set up.

Every time I've seen this the problem has been with the account set up at the bank, but there is a knowledge base article that gives more information and steps to correct. The KB is written specifically to Citibank, but the instructions are the same for any of the preferred vendors.
