Vince,
Unless you run into a problem installing 1.3, that's all you have to do.
If you run into a problem, then backup any custom receipt, report, label, etc.
Thanks...my brother and I are going to attempt this, this morning.
Can a simple upgrade just be done, or does 1.2 need to be uninstalled first before installing 1.3?
Nick
Nick,
That's where I ran into a problem installing 1.3. I tried to just overwrite
1.2 and things got kinda wacky.Uninstall 1.2, restart the machine and install 1.3.
Jeff
Does 1.3 start backup with all the receipts and setting as they were set in
1.2 or do you have to reconfigure all the settings.Example receipt locations and etc.
Raffaele,
As long as you don't delete the folders, everything is retained.
I have performed several upgrades on several different systems. All I have had to do is start the RMS 1.3 installation. The install uninstalls version 1.2 and installs version 1.3 all in one process. I did not have to first uninstall version 1.2 it did this for me. It did not overwrite any files. It was the easiest RMS upgrade to date.

Check this out: Kinnard, We developed an add-on for a fitness client that handles memberships and expirations dates. It is actually an application that runs on it's own windows system. The system has a scanner attached, when the clients come in they scan their card, the application then queries the RMS database and shows the customer information on the screen and their expiration date. If the membership is valid it shows a green bar, if it is expired it shows a red bar and makes a sound that prompts the cashier to look over and see who has the expired membership. The dates are kept in the customer custom date fields. The applicaiton shows the last 5 customers and their status in case you have a bunch of people come in at once you can see which customer had the expired membership.
