USB Pin Pad?

Question

Are there any USB Pin pads that are compatible with RMS 1.3R or RMS 2.0?

I would like to avoid using anything serial because new machines don't have a serial port anymore and this would also save me from having to use a separate power adapter and cable to power the Pin pad.

If this is not possible are there any workaround, like USB to serial converters etc?

Hi Alex,If you already have something serial no need to worry about. go and buy the convertor which is easily avaiblle in market it is called serial to usb. very cheap also."Alex" wrote:

Thanks for your reply, but my whole purpose of having a USB pin pad was to avoid having to use a USB to serial converter and to avoid having to have a "power" cable to the pin pad since USB already supplies the necessary power. The less clutter and cables the better.

Any suggestions?

AlexDo not buy converter because I already tried it. It didnt work. I had so many problems with pc. Some time pc restart by it self middle of transaction. since took the converter out and I have no problem. I tried even  4 dinfferent converter. Microsoft opos object service only set for serial port should ask If they have there own OPOS.
