Verifone pinpad 1000 SE issue

Are there any solutions, work arounds, other products, and or services that can be used? Give details! Does Mercury support the entouch? If so, how? TPI maybe? Someone create a decision sheet.

Mercury change there platform and are now using the built in RMS CC Integration so you would need to use the Verifone 1000SE, TPI completely replaces the CC Integration and they have the ability to use either the

1000SE or enTouch pinpads. Contact Bill Pittman at

or send an email to sales @ tpisoft.com and find exactly what hardware they support.

Rob, Mercury still supports both choices. If you can live with the built-in MS RMS credit card capability with respect to pin pad support and feature set (e.g. no EBT, AVS), we suggest you go that route for lower cost, MUCH easier installation, better supportability, etc. Otherwise the TPI software route makes sense and supports a variety of pin pads and many nice features. Mercury will support either mechanism. You can obtain the TPI software directly from TPI or from JR POS Depot.

You're supposed to be able to use the enTouch 1000 with Mercury and TPI's smartpayments plugin, but it's going to cost you.

I'm still working out the bugs of the installation. If you're only doing one lane, it might not be worth it. If I weren't designing a system for 30 lanes, I would have given up a long time ago.

Derek, we changed our cc processing company to Abanco,... they have their "own" licensed version of tpi software,... It works great,.. we use verifone 1000 se without a clitch all during the holidays,. on 3 lanes... The best part ,... they give you the software, programs the verifone and host the server for processing,.. and pretty darn good rates too,... let me know if you need more info!!
