Wait for QB2006

The really great advantage of using the new QB Premier Edition 2006 beta is the ease of use / organization. There probably isn't too much in the sense of improvements to other areas, or atleast I haven't noticed yet.

For anyone who is new to QB I would really highly recommend to wait until the new edition arrives later this quarter. Its just so much easier to use from the starting screen, and look historical data up concerning customers while on the phone.

There have been other changes, the units of measure feature may not be available, however there are simpler work arounds for it.

But anyone who is borderline and can't decide, definetely wait for th 2006, it will be easier to use.

I think if you purchase now, you will get the new version when it is released (December?)

If you really can't put off the decision and you still want the 2006 product that would seem to be the way to go.

According to spam emails received from Intuit, they say September for the release, this might mean that only the online/download "able" edition will be available by end of this month.

I suspect that by the end of the year a patch will be included / available for the CD version.

I do not believe this is the case given that the upgrade price at my local CompUSA is now $79.00 for QB Pro 2005.
