Chase - small biz checking & quicken fee ?

Apr 05, 2006 2 Replies

I have a small biz checking account at Chase called Business Classic. Today, I enabled the Quicken/Money feature so I could download transactions and keep the balance in Quicken. I only use Quicken for tracking my other "investments", and just wanted to add the cash/checking account into the summary.

It appears there is a "fee" for enabling this feature at Chase. However, I'm not sure if the fee is for the turn-on of the account, or only related to the Bill-Pay or other active money tranfers aspect of the account neither of whcih I'll be using... Guess I'll be able to tell if I get hit with a service fee next month...

So, anyone else have Business Classic Checking at Chase, with the Quicken download feature enabled ?

Hi Phil,

We have small business checking with Chase and have recently started seeing a monthly 'banking software' charge.

IIRC it started when we moved up to Q H&B 2006 but that may be sheer coincidence

Similar thing when I was with Hibernia. Apparently a lot of banks go with Quicken and "personal" accounts have no charges, while Business Accounts with Quicken or Quickbooks are fee based.
