downloading problems Quicken 2013 Bank of America

What I download from the Bank of America I can't find any transactions to accept. I did find, however, by going to\tools\online center\transactions, the missing transactions are there from the 1st of the year. But none of the check numbers appear in Quicken register. Is there any way of getting these transactions into my register? The account number I use is identical to that of the bank, same name. What I do get downloaded maybe 3 future payments to be made in the next month. I don't believe that I am over the three-year limit before I have to Renew. Any help on this will be appreciated.

One way to get transactions found in the Online Center into your Quicken account register, is to click the Compare to Register button that appears on that Transactions tab in the Online Center.

I am pretty sure I tried that, but I think what really worked, was to accept all 3 dummy transactions at the bottom that I did not want to accept (automatic payments for next month and a duplicate). Once I did that, there was a flurry of activity and the online roster changed to

0 transactions whereas previously it had 109 transactions . I had the help of a technician from Bank of America and we did some stuff about deactivating the account etc. but finally accepting the 3 awful transactions at the bottom opened up the "online closet". My account was set for automatic fill.

I don't understand all of your comment.

But if you have online billpay activated for the account and there are billpay confirmations in the download; all, and only, the downloaded billpay transactions are presented first - they must all be processed before the downloaded cleared transactions will be presented.

My billpay arrangement is with the bank not with Quicken, if that makes any difference. I don't recall any advice requiring or advising me to clear prior downloads. In fact there is very little guidance given at all to this download process either by Quicken or the bank. It has made a mess of my account since I stopped reconciling it by hand. Each download lately has been accompanied by large panel with some error numbers and advice that data is being downloaded to accounts that do not exist or some such talk. (Now I get it-- I think-they must mean the online closet). It will also say that 65 transactions have been downloaded, and at the same time say downloading is not possible check this or that. The actual visible download is the 3 items I mentioned not 65. That's my experience with Bank of America, but it looks like by accepting everything and then deleting selectively, everything should be fine. Don't you think somewhere in their large advisory panel they might make the remark "you must clear the previous download, or the next 65 items are going up into the closet (online center roster)". Thank you for taking the time to help.
