Getting Chase to work with 1 step update

I recently followed directions posted earlier in this group to get my Chase credit card information to validate using the One Step Update option. In order to get this to work, I needed to create a "new" credit card account. My transactions from the old days (of downloading qif files and importing them) are listed in another credit card account that wouldn't allow me to update it properly.

Is there a way to either (a) move these transactions over to the new credit card account or (b) delete or otherwise change the financial institution in the old credit card account and just download the most recent transactions again?

Basically, I just want to reconcile this into "one" credit card accoun with One Step Update.

Go to the old account and define all of the transactions. After you've done that, right click on the register and pick "Copy transactions." Then go into the new account and paste all the transactions. You may need to clean up a little bit after that, but at least it will save you the trouble of manually re-entering each transaction.

Now, to amplify a couple of points in case you don't already know this:

1) To select all of the transactions: One way to do it is to go to the first transaction and click on it. Then go to the last transaction and hold the Ctrl key while clicking on the last item and they all will be selected.

2) The only way I could figure out how to paste the transactions was by going to the "edit" button on an empty transaction and choosing "Paste transaction(s)" from there. There may be another way to do that. I don't know.

All of this was done in Q2006, Basic. Don't know how transferable these actions are to other versions.

Make that the *SHIFT* key. If you use the *CTRL* key all you end up doing is selecting the first and last transactions.

Correct! Sorry.

I actually tried deactivating the updates and then activating it again, and that worked. But, thanks for the suggestions on moving the individual transactions.
