Online insists last session not completed

Aug 22, 2006 6 Replies

I am using Quicken 2006 Premier, and have never had this situation occur.

Quicken keeps insisting that the last online session was not completed due to a problem with at least one financial institution. I know I had a OL295A error with the Discover Card . I called and they said they had a server problem and that it should be fixed today. Today, my transactions downloaded as usual, but the message continues. When you go into the online summary as it directs, there is not an error message any longer. Any ideas on how to get this annoying message off my screen?

Thanks,

Bruce

You need to get through a successful session. I just tried it and it worked fine. The stale error entry is gone now.

That doesn't fix it. It still has the exact message it did before.

Anybody else with any ideas, because Stubby's idea wasn't the fix in this case.

Go to the Online Center and hold down Control plus the F3 key and select Contact Info. Chose the appropriate financial institution and select Refresh. No guarantees, but that's what the techs had me do in an earlier version and it still seems to work in 2005.

None of that worked, because the online summary wasn't indicating any problems with any account, just the stupid message I kept when starting or exiting quicken. I fixed it by rekeying some transactions on a laptop version of the file for the past couple of days and then testing it once it was up to date. Since there were no problems, I then copied it back onto the desktop where I usually have the most current version.

I think if you had deactivated and reactivated the 'bad' FI account followed by a successful download, that might have solved your problem - but too late now!
