Q2006 - Quotes Working Perfectly Today (and support even)

Jan 25, 2008 1 Replies

Several days ago, in desperation, I emailed Intuit a complaint about quote download using the "Quicken CD/Download Questions? - email" liknk at

formatting link
. To my surprise, I actually got an answer. "The Quotes server is working intermittently and we are able to download quotes for some of the securities and the prices for mutual funds and market indexes are not updating. The historical data is also not been provided. We are working on this to get it resolved. I would request you to try downloading prices after 24 hrs and it should work fine."

To my greater surprise, the answer was correct. Not only are all the quotes there and correct today, so are the 52 week highs and lows (which have been fictional every time I looked in the past months).

So to those who say Intuit no longer provides free support for Quicken or provides reliable quotes (and I am in that group) - I say, "Pinch me - I must be dreaming."

Disclaimer: I take no hallucinogenic drugs.

Great news, Walt. Any idea if Quicken is able to update option quotes? I've tried a "." before the symbol, and a "+" before the symbol, and neither seems to work. Whom do you think I can email to get an answer to this if you don't know?

Thanks, RFH
