I just started Quicken 2005 (R3) and before it came up, it asked me to update. I said yes. It popped up the internet connection window. zapped a few things too fast to read and then exited and started Quicken.
I looked and it still said R3.
I looked at intuit.com and is said R3 was the latest.
What did my quicken do? Why did it aske me to update?
Any ideas?
Oh, I should also note this:
When I first started Q it asked me to update. I said no. Then I clicked the One Step Update, and it did NOT indicate that an update was available. I quit Quicken and restarted it. It still asked me to update. The second time I said yes and the rest is described above.

I had the exact same experience and am also worried about it.
I got that and it looked like a "Financial Institutions" list update.
