Repair OSD Capability; Intuit ID & Authorization??

Am using Quicken 2014 Deluxe and Windows 7. For some reason, about 3 days ago One-Step Update (OSD) stopped functioning. If I try just to update sto ck quotes, absolutely nothing happens. If I try to update an individual FI account, I get the options of "Settings..." or "Update Now" Regardless of which I select, nothing happens after that.

When I go to close Quicken I am given an option to Sync; if I choose that I get message "Intuit ID Authorization failed or cancelled. Quicken needs t o be authorized with your Intuit ID to access Cloud data."

I am assuming these two problems are related, but I need help in fixing it/ them. What is Intuit ID ? Where is one given option to "Authorize" ?
