Quicken2005 Forced Upgrade III - Seems They Lied

Starting Tuesday, Jan 29, I could not download transactions from my bank. My bank confirmed there was a problem.

On Thursday, the same week, my bank told me the problems had been resolved, however, I still could not download.

I found a link to a quicken faq on copying the quicken files, verifying them, clearing any errors, and downloading. That did not work.

I talked to my sister and she said she got an update from quicken saying if she did not upgrade in 10 days, her service would not work.

So, I updated to Q2008 and all the downloads work perfectly.

Thanks Quicken!

My Q2005 Deluxe is still humming right along, downloading everything without a hitch: I expect it to continue to do so until at least April 30.

I think you have confused correlation with causation; I think Q2005 won't sunset until April 30.

Did you have any issues last week? Me and my sister are in the southeast US and it stopped working Tuesday morning.

No, no problems. I have, over the past several months, had the occasional problem with security price downloads, but even that has never been as bad for me as reported by others ... and it's not related so sunsetting. All my financial institution transactions have consistently downloaded without problem.

Sorry, I meant to add that I'm in Florida; but I don't think that geography has anything to do with sunsetting.

Won't Quicken sunset 3 hours later on the west coast?

Probably not: I'm in the central time zone. :)

I didn't know Florida had split between time zones, but then, I've only been to Orlando, Clearwater and Miami ...

Intuit is a California company, so why wouldn't the time be Pacific? LOL

It really depends where their data centers / servers are located - they would have the local time as the system time. It probably would not be so exact - after all Alaska and Hawaii have several time zones beyond Pacific.
