Server Failure 138

I have 1 back office computer that will not load mangers or the pos. it share a register number with the othere back office computers and the work fine. The complete error is "Server Failure 138 : A server failure occurred while attempting to read the receipt"

Each machine should have a unique register number in SO Administrator. That register number also needs to be in SO Manager | Database | Registers | Register list

Sound like you have a duplicated register number and can't find the receipt format on your machine.

I agree with Jeff that each back office machine should use a unique register number. I would check SO Administrator to make sure that system is connecting to the correct database as well.

Have you checked that the receipt template is in the default folder \Program Files\Microsoft Retail...\Store Operation\Receipt Templates ?

SO Administrator | File | Configuration | Paths tab | Receipts | should point to the above folder if that is where your template is stored.
