I've been updating to the latest version of Quicken every year since 2000. Somewhere in there, my cars prices stopped downloading. I just updated to Q2006 Rel2 for Windows tonight and the auto values still do not update when I do the Update. Everything else does though. I can certainly live without this feature, but I do feel like I pay for it since I pay for a new version every year.
Any pointers out there?

"Somewhere in there" was a long time ago. Auto price downloads are no more, and only existed for one, at most, two versions of Quicken.
What it doesn't explain is why did it stop? It was a nice feature...

I'm guessing they were milky KBB online without permission or the agreement was terminated because KBB wanted more money that Intuit wanted to keep for themselves for doing the little work that they do.
IIRC the system used Edmunds values; perhaps it was as you say but with Edmunds rather than KBB.
I just guessed a service. Thanks for the correction. I didn't know. But I'm sure that's why it was dropped. Something in that arena anyway.
Intuit is that kind of company. They simply abandon features and entire products without thinking about the customers who have paid for those products and features...
I don't see any evidence to support your claim. You don't have any idea why the car price downloads were dropped; why would you claim that it was Intuit's doing when you don't know? What if Edmunds decided it no longer wanted to make prices available to Intiut. What if Edmunds tried to jack up the cost to get those car prices so high that it was no longer economically feasible for Intuit to include them in Quicken?
